Master’s Degree in Piano and Orchestral Instruments

This practical, performance-focused program is designed to refine performance skills and widen the repertoire of high-level pianists and orchestral instrumentalists.

Students will actively participate in the artistic life of the Conservatory, performing in recitals, gala concerts, and chamber music ensembles.

Study Options

The Master's Degree in Music Performance at the Conservatory of Music of Durango is offered in two study options:

  • Full time
  • Hybrid

Full time studies

Designed for students who wish to complete the program through in-person academic activities at the Conservatory.

Hybrid Option

Beginning with the 2026–2027academic year, the Hybrid Option follows a Flexible format,designed especially for out-of-town students.

In-person activities take place at the Conservatory of Music of Durango during three one-week residency periods each semester:

  • One week at the beginning of the semester
  • One week in the middle of the semester
  • One week at the end of the semester

During the remainder of the semester, students complete their academic work independently, with the option of receiving virtual lessons and academic guidance, depending on each professor's teaching plan. Theoretical courses are delivered online and include one in-person week at the end of each semester.

The dates of the residency periods are announced and scheduled well in advance, allowing students to plan accordingly.

This study format enables students to continue their professional, artistic, or work commitments while pursuing a high-level graduate degree under the guidance of a distinguished faculty of nationally and internationally recognized artists and educators.
